Cards

 

Today I am researching about the history of cards so I can create my own card. First of all, I made a list of cards that I can think of. Second of all I picked the card that I wanted which is a happy birthday card. Then I went to adobe illustrator and watched a video tutorial to learn how to make different fonts. I made three different types of fonts the first one I made was the black and red then I made the same one but a different colour which is red and white. I Also picked the circle Column and put it behind the writing from the shape column. Finally I added get well soon because I couldn't really decide to choose. I found it a little difficult because I still need learn how use and memorize the tools that's I've used in adobe illustrator.

The history of cards

The cards were invented by the Chinese before AD1000. They reached Europe around 1360, not directly from China but from the Mameluke empire of Egypt. The history of Suit marks demonstrates a fascinating interplay between words shapes of concepts. 

Evaluation 

For my greeting card project, I was given the task of making a card for an occasion. I chose to make a Christmas card. I had 2 weeks to finish the assignment. 

I began by looking at history of Cards. I created my own mood board. I included things that remind me of Christmas and Christmas cards that I liked.  I visited a card shop with my class We checked all of them and See how they design it. Then I drew a Christmas card trying to put some details in the card. After my first Sketch I started to work on Illustrator to do the first draft.
